Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is one of the traditional Chinese holidays. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month each year. People participate in dragon boat races and enjoy eating zongzi, a traditional sticky rice treat. In addition, they also wear colorful threads on their wrists and adorn themselves with mugwort leaves to ward off evil spirits and illnesses.
